A little ABOUT ME
Hey, I’m Lia Jay - So Nice to Meet You!
I bought a camera with the idea of capturing the world in pictures, and so began my journey.
My passion for photography, combined with my persistent snapping, became my trademark.
Over time, my hobby gained recognition, bringing smiles to others.
Despite going through marriage, divorce, remarriage, raising five kids, having three grandkids, relocating from NY to NJ, and a change in careers, (I previously working as a cartographer!)
photography remained a magical way for me to express my talent, vision, and pursue my passion.
When I'm not taking photos, you might find me editing, multitasking (thanks to my ADHD), cracking corny jokes, playing with my spoiled fur baby and dreaming of the next photo project to start.
It turns out, stopping time with a camera, and reliving the wonderful moments of the people I love is not a bad way to spend the day.
From celebrations to everyday events, photographs help us keep these moments close to our hearts and forever in our minds memories. With so much going on all day every day, I love the option to sit down and be reminded of what is most important in my life. As a lifestyle photographer, I am looking and determined to catch the moments and feelings of the personalities that I see before me. So that you have those images for you to enjoy as well. Born and raised in New York City. I studied photography at F.I.T. and the like. Many of my photographs have been published in several newspapers and books.
